The iconic 702 Walk the Talk is back, Sunday, 28 July 2024

In celebration of 30 Years of Democracy this year we are granting all our 702 landers the freedom of the Capital City of Tshwane to walk two distances – 6.7km in recognition of Mandela Month and 8km. The walk will start from the idyllic Freedom Park Heritage Site, past some of our unique heritage sites, finishing at the Southern Lawns of the gracious Union Buildings.

Park & Ride
There is no public parking available at both the Freedom Park start & Union Buildings finish therefore the event has arranged Park & Ride facilities. Entrants must purchase a Park & Ride ticket from any of the departure/return points. There are venues within both the Pretoria or Johannesburg areas, as listed below.

Park and ride buses commence from 6h00 and final bus leaves Union Buildings at 16h30
